Every once in a while you've got to kick it back to the OG fine dining lunch spot in downtown Indy. They actually have very reasonable lunch options! They have a 15, 20, and 25 dollar lunch combo. I got the 25 and it came with salmon, fries, a small Caesar salad, and some of the world-famous shrimp cocktail! I recommend asking for some saltines if you like the cocktail sauce because putting it all on two shrimps is a bold move! Would be very hot hot to spread it out. I found it to be a good deal. My friend got a turkey sandwich which looked great and cost $15. That's market more expensive than chipotle or other "fast casual" around here!

Kirsten and the rest of the staff were outstanding. On a busy night before the Billy Joel concert, everyone was fast efficient with exceptional service. Food was perfect as always.

I brought my son in for 25th birthday dinner, we were both extremely happy with everything. Seated quickly, server was quick to approach us and take drink and appetizer order. My son's steak was prepared perfecting and I had the peppercorn meatloaf, which was terrific. Harry and Izzys atmosphere is fantastic and will visit again very soon.

Went here on a Friday night, we were seated quite quickly. Our server was Josh and he was excellent! Loved the seafood options and the menu has something for everyone! Highly recommend the Bourbon Bread Pudding to finish the meal!

Ambience was modern yet not extremely formal. Definitely need a polo to enter the restaurant. We had a waiter named Sarge, who was super Duper nice. He was able to cater our food options and thoughts very nicely. For food, we got the shrimp cocktail, two ribeyes Izzy style , mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts, Elmo cola. Steak was cooked good. The orange sauce was a little too strong for my taste and took away from the flavor and texture of the meat. Brussels sprouts are some of the best I've ever had, and I don't even eat vegetables that often! The mac & cheese was also delicious and a cherry cola was unforgettable. Similarly, the shrimp cocktail was world famous for a good reason, it has a quite spicy taste that hits my brain seconds after you eat it. I strongly recommend you come to this restaurant at least once! I was especially happy with our waiter and I would not recommend the Izzy style if you're looking to savor the taste of the meat

So much better than Ruth's Chris. Kansas City strip steak was delicious and filling. Mashed potatoes were robust and solid. Had the bartender freestyle a Whiskey Smash and suggested Passion Fruit pureé...amazing. And these Filet sliders .............. so tender and delicious.

I was here for a dinner on a Saturday evening and considering that it was a very busy evening for downtown restaurants as this was the weekend of many Halloween parties, I am giving a 4 star instead of 3 stars for my experience. We made a reservation on OpenTable almost a month ago. We parked at the Circle Center Mall in the blue garage, and as some others pointed out in their reviews, there was no signage indicating which side Harry and Izzy's is. We arrived at the restaurant and there were 3 more parties ahead of us (all with reservations) that were waiting to get seated so the check in area was crowded. They don't validate parking tickets which is pretty common for many restaurants in the area. As we were being shown our table, I noticed how busy the restaurant and the kitchen was at that time so we decided to put in our order quickly. The restaurant was lively and loud as expected on a Saturday evening. Our server, Mary, was prompt to check in with us and ask our dietary restrictions. She preferred calling a manager (his name was Austin) to ensure that everything we requested for the dietary restrictions can be accommodated by the kitchen. Among appetizers, we ordered calamari and scallops. Calamari was freshly fried and came with a delicious, creamy dip (not the standard cocktail sauce). For main course, I ordered the blackened Atlantic cod while the others in my party got the filet and Radiatori pasta. The cod by default comes with green beans but the server was happy to switch it with Brussel sprouts, no bacon, which I appreciated. Our appetizers took 30 minutes to arrive and our main course took 45 minutes from the time we placed the order, which was disappointing given that the server told us both times that our food will be right out. The blackened cod was soft and tender, and well seasoned. Presentation was average but I was glad that the food was warm and tasted well. My side of Brussel sprouts was well-seasoned and slightly spicy which I enjoyed. The filet and pasta were both impressive but the pasta only had a couple chunks of chicken. As I was eating through my Brussel sprouts side, I noticed a chunk of bacon even though I'd specifically asked for no bacon. Because we'd already been waiting for too long, I decided to skip the rest and didn't ask to get the side replaced. We were at the restaurant for over 2 hours, which seemed a tad bit long for 2 appetizers and 3 entrees, and no beverages.

The service at this restaurant was top notch. I have zero complaints about the service, location, and quality of food. I took my partner for dinner to celebrate his birthday and they provided a table with a card and red decorations. We loved it. I ordered the shrimp cocktail for my starter and my partner ordered the meatballs (both were delicious). The three meatballs were flavorful and a large size. The shrimp cocktail had 4 shrimp and was drowned in the horseradish. I would have preferred the horseradish was on the side or two dollops on top. My main entree was the salmon with mashed potatoes. My partner ordered the filet mignon (tip: medium well instead of well done-the steak was dry). We added on broccolini which I didn't know included cheese which I didn't like. While eating the broccolini, we need we had a little food stealer crawling on the plate which stopped me from eating any more. The drinks were good.

As others have said, the service and the atmosphere here are great. Harry and Izzy's leans upscale, but is still a bit more approachable (in price and ambiance) than St. Elmo's. We dined late on a Saturday night and while the folks we saw upon arrival wore dressy casual/cocktail attire, there were plenty of folks in t-shirts and Jean jackets as the night went on. My table shared onion rings, which were skinny straws rather than the thick version I was expecting. I opted for the prime rib pizza which had a lot of flavor, but the crust was rather soggy on the bottom. I enjoyed the horseradish ricotta, which only had a little kick to it unlike the shrimp cocktail. I think the pizza was actually better the next day when I had the chance to reheat it in the toaster oven and firm up the crust a bit. I'd come back to try their lunch combos which are served daily until 4pm and sound like a great deal.
